August 14th 2010 17:00 Spreewaldplatz 8: Berlin's first fashion show in pageant form features 13 imaginative and daring Berlin based Designers that have paired with 13 Models with a flair for the dramatic to form dynamic fashion duos ready to represent their selected UBAHN station on the catwalk. Berlins UBAHN stations are a colorful, characteristic part of the city that will at last be brought to life in this first-of-its-kind performing arts & fashion event. Each designer has crafted both a couture gown and swimwear (for the swimsuit competition) designed using their selected UBAHN station as inspiration and taking into account details such as the appearance, materials, history, and surrounding population. The model will then do their best to bring their teams selected UBAHN station to life in two catwalks (one for each look), a question and answer segment, and a talent show. The show will be followed by an after party in the club Kleine Reise.

This outdoor event is free to attend and seeks to bring fashion in a fun environment out of the corners of the buy-and-sell fashion world and into the public space. The combination show and pageant is as much a showcase of Berlins most ingenious fashion designers and performing artists as it is a celebration of the city we call home.
